Cuckfield Museum: hosts a talk by Tony Wilson MBE, MSc. entitled 'State of the Art at the British Museum' tonight, Thursday, 25 February, 8.00 pm in the Council Chamber, The Queen's Hall, Cuckfield. Tony was the Project Director for the British Museum's 'World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre', the £135 million pound development completed in 2014 and providing approximately 17,000m2 of new, state-of-the art facilities at the museum. Tony's illustrated talk will cover the construction of the World Conservation & Exhibition Centre, and will explain how the new building has helped to transform the way in which the museum stores, conserves and displays its collection of over 6 million objects.
