Crowds of enthusiastic dare-devils braved dizzy heights to zip wire through Burgess Hill’s St John’s Park at the weekend.
The brave visitors had the chance to climb 120ft and zip wire along the tree line throughout the park on Saturday as part of a day of fun for all the family.
Visitors also had the chance to partake in a giant game of ‘hungry hippos’, and a ‘total wipeout’.
The event was the result of a consultation between the town council and young people last year and was part-funded by Mid Sussex District Council.
Youngsters could take part in the attractions for as little as £1 per event.
Council leader, Prudence Moore said: “This is the first time BHTC has provided an event of this nature .
“It was a great success and hopefully we can do something similar next year.”
Future events which have been planned throughout Burgess Hill later in the year include, a free open air cinema, showing ‘Spiderman: Homecoming’ on September 15 and an escape room on September 27.
