Decision expected on police officers under Shoreham gross misconduct investigation

“Two probationary police officers, investigated in relation to their use of social media during the tragic Shoreham air crash, attended Regulation 13 meetings on September 30,” said a spokesman today (October 6).
“A chief officer will assess the evidence and a recommendation will be made to the chief constable as to their future. The outcome will be made known during the week commencing October 5.”

Hide AdEleven people died after a jet taking part in the Shoreham Air Show crashed on the A27 on August 22.
The two officers are said to have sent a video from the scene accompanied by an inappropriate message.
Speaking to the Herald in September, deputy chief constable Olivia Pinkney said fellow officers were ‘angry and disappointed’ at the pair for their conduct.
