Ditchling Horticultural Society Annual Summer Show: - Saturday 11th July 2pm –4,00pm. The Annual Show will be held in the Village Hall on Saturday 11th July between 2pm and 4pm. This Show displays the best home grown fruit and seasonable vegetables; in addition the Hall should be filled with the scent of roses (2015 is reputed to be an excellent year for roses), sweet peas and other summer flowers. Flower arranging classes include arrangements and exhibits displaying “Peace”, “a Bridesmaid’s Posy” and an exhibition depicting “Clashing Reds”;a class for snapshot photography; the Theme this year is “Hats” .Children’s classes include “2 Cookies” and “A pot of nasturtiums”. When you have viewed the exhibits, come and sample our popular refreshments (tea and homemade cake for £1.50.) There is also Muriel’s famous raffle - tickets £1 each. American artist David Wolske continues this revolution through his use of traditional letterpress tools andmaterials to create stunning, and purely abstract, compositions.
