The Ditchling Village Association are holding a Council Meeting on Thursday 24th September 7.30pm in the Quakers’ Meeting House. The Agenda for this meeting is attached for your information. All are very welcome.
DITCHLING WI: For our September meeting we enjoyed listening to our speaker Edward Padgett talking about the life of Stanley Holloway and reciting some of his monologues. Most of us knew of some of them and remember the notable films he appeared in.This was followed with tea and biscuits. The flower of the month was won by Briony.rThe next meeting is Thursday 1st October 2.15pm, in Ditchling village hall, is a members meeting.Visitors are very welcome
Ditchling Apple Sunday 4 October 2015 between 11am and 4pm on the Ditchling Village Green and in the Barn. To keep us entertained there will be Morris dancing and music. For the younger visitors, and the young at heart, there will be a story teller and craft activities (making apple prints, bird feeders, apple monsters and bug hotels). Also, the A is for Apple printing press from Ditchling Museum. For sporting enthusiasts there will be apple bobbing-on-a-string and the dangerous sport, particularly for spectators, of Welly Wanging. Teas and goodies will also be available.Around 3pm Ditchling Morris will lead us to the Orchard for further activities.
