Drama through Autism

Students at specialist school LVS Hassocks wrote and peformed their own drama scenes for parents showing their views on how they perceive the world through Autism.

They joined a weekly club to develop their ideas and called their show ‘But you’re not in my shoes’.

Between sketches, students came onto stage and talked of their Christmas wishes. Pupil Lucy said Autism was “like a tree because it has all different branches and no branches are the same”.

Dan said: “It’s a gift and it takes a special person to accept they have it.”
