Driver escapes injury in Haywards Heath collision

Mid Sussex Police shared this photo on Twitter, which shows a badly damaged car as a result of a collision in Rocky Lane.

The force said on the social media site: “Take care down Rocky Lane #HaywardsHeath waiting for recovery. Thankfully no injury.”

Traffic reports say the road is partially blocked both ways following the collision – but traffic is said to be coping well.

The collision happened near the railway bridge, according to reports.

Reports on social media suggest the car left the road, hitting a brick wall and tree, before ending up in a garden.

Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service have been approached for a comment.
