Driver travels wrong way on A23

Part of a road was blocked after a driver travelled the wrong way on the A23.

Police were called to a slip road to the A23 near Albourne at around 3pm on Friday (November 27).

Officers said they were called after reports a car had driven the wrong way down the slip road.

A spokesman for Sussex Road Policing Unit said the driver realised the error before joining the duel carriage way.

A temporary rolling road block was set up whilst officers spoke to the driver and helped them to turn around.

The road was cleared at around 3.20pm.
