School-leavers and parents have been invited to an open evening at Central Sussex College Crawley.

The event aimed at young people taking their GCSEs next summer will run at its campus in College Road from 5pm to 8pm on Tuesday (November 10).

Staff will be on hand to answer questions about student life and vocational courses, apprenticeships and A levels the college offers.

A spokesman said: “Qualified careers advisors from the college will also be available to advise school-leavers about their choice of course and help those young people who haven’t decided what do after their exams, by offering advice on the evening or a more in-depth careers guidance interview at a later date.

“There will also be a chance to tour the building and meet current students as they demonstrate some of the more hands-on subjects available at the College, such as construction, hairdressing and hospitality. A team of specialist advisers will also be there to speak to those looking to become an apprentice.

“The College’s Crawley campus situated in the heart of the town centre, boasts newly redeveloped social and study spaces, excellent training facilities and workshops, and fantastic in house services including the fully equipped Intuition hair and beauty salons and a professional training restaurant, Le Cordon Vert.”
