Engagement ring stolen in Haywards Heath burglary

Jewellery including a gold and diamond engagement ring has been stolen in a burglary.

Police appealed for witnesses after the thief smashed a small rear window to get into a home in Fox Hill between 9am and 3.30pm on Thursday, February 11.

Detective Constable Gavin Percival said: “It is vitally important that if anyone has seen or heard anything in relation to this burglary, or any other, that they contact the police. We can all be victims of this type of crime and with public assistance we can catch the offenders.

“I am particularly interested in hearing from the owner of a beige Volvo estate car hat was seen parked in the road during that morning in order to eliminate them from the investigation.”
