EXCLUSIVE: Iconic Sussex Downland chalk figure hit by protestors

Demonstrators have placed an anti-fracking slogan over the historic Long Man of Wilmington during the night.

The words Frack Off have been placed over the iconic chalk figure which can be seen for miles on the northern face of the Downs close to the A27.

Protestors are thought to have used white tarpaulin sheets to make the slogan.

The tarpaulin has been removed by local farmers.

Police are currently talking to anti-fracking protestors at the scene.
