The highly anticipated annual event saw Santa arrive with his elves Sunday November 20. Santa met with crowds of children and families before officially opening the Notcutts Christmas grotto. Santa then took a look around the centre and picked out some decorations to take back to the North Pole! Gary West, manager at Notcutts Garden Centre Garden Pride, said: “Christmas is our favourite time of year and, now that Santa has arrived at our wonderful grotto, we feel the countdown has truly begun! It was a brilliant moment as Santa arrived and we’re delighted that our customers enjoyed all the festive fun.”

Santa’s arrival marks the official opening of the magical Notcutts Christmas grotto, decorated as an enchanted winter wonderland, which is now open until Christmas eve. Children can also join Santa for breakfast or tea in the Notcutts restaurant, or write a letter to Santa using a dedicated post box where they’ll receive a personalised reply within seven days. There is also the magical make-a-wish tree where Notcutts will make a lucky few dreams come true.
