Festive performance for Hassocks residents celebrating Christmas in new homes

The community Christmas event, which took place at Saxon Mills developments, saw members of the Brighton-based theatre company performing festive tunes.

Lynnette St-Quintin, sales and marketing director for Barratt Southern Counties, said: “Christmas is a time to celebrate with friends and loved ones, and as a new community takes shape at Saxon Mills, this event offered an opportunity for residents to enjoy the festivities with their neighbours.

“It is fantastic that so many residents joined us throughout the evening, and we hope that everybody enjoyed themselves.

“A special thanks goes to Phoenix Theatre Company for performing such wonderful entertainment for us all.”

As part of the celebrations marking their first Christmas at the development, residents ate mince pies and drank mulled wine curtesy of Barratt Southern Counties.

Amanda West, director at Phoenix Theatre Company, said: “Our main philosophy at our fully inclusive theatre company is that of kindness. We believe in giving back to the community, and love to sing at events like this. We also perform at residential care and nursing homes throughout the year as well as running our Saturday workshops which are accessible to all young performers.”

Barratt Southern Counties also hosted a Christmas Meet the Neighbours event at its Wychwood Park development in Haywards Heath.

Residents celebrated the festive season with an afternoon of mince pies and mulled wine.
