Peter Evans, Cabinet Member for Children – Start of Life, said: “Foster carers provide a vitally important role in helping some of our most vulnerable children and young people.

“As well as providing a safe and secure home, foster carers can help to develop a child or young person’s confidence and skills, giving them a chance to flourish.

“Being a foster carer is challenging but very rewarding and I would encourage anyone who is considering it or wants to find out more, to come along to the drop-in session.”

Fostering can be either short or long-term, ranging from just a few days to several years. There are also several types of fostering.
