Firefighters are currently attending a fire at a home in Hurstpierpoint.

Crews were called to West Terrace at around 4.30am this morning (July 8) after reports a home and a shed were on fire.

Two crews, from Hurstpierpoint and Burgess Hill, were initially sent to the scene but on arrival another two engines were called, from Preston Circus and Henfield, to help tackle the flames.

A command support from Haywards Heath has also been sent to the scene.

Crews used eight breathing apparatus, three high pressure hose reels, one covering jet and a ladder platform to put out the fire.
