Campaigners have lost their battle after plans for 210 new homes at Penlands Farm in Haywards Heath were given the go-ahead by the planning inspector.
The Penlands Farm Action Group has thanked members for their hard work with the campaign.
A spokeswoman for the group said: “We are very disappointed in the decision but respect it, bearing in mind the current state of planning legislation in the UK today. We have always been aware that we were on the back foot as MSDC has no District Plan in place, Haywards Heath Town Council has no Neighbourhood Plan in place and Mid Sussex District Council cannot demonstrate the all-important five year housing supply.”
