Community Bus: As I mentioned last week, the next Community Bus trip is to the Steam Museum in Kew and that it was fully booked but there might be some cancellations if you were lucky. I have since discovered that there are a couple of seats available so if you are really quick, you might still be able to go on Saturday, 25 March! There are still places available for the trips next month which are Ikea on Tuesday 11 April and Tickenham on Tuesday 25 April; the cost of the former is £7.50 and the latter £20 plus £15. Get in touch with Christina, either on 400212 or in the Hardware Shop. I keep telling you about the outings but the Bus also provides a regular, timetabled service going to Horsham on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday in the mornings and on Thursday morning to Crawley and Burgess Hill in the afternoon. Full details of these services can be found on the notice board outside the Hardware Shop (by the bus stop) or in the shop where you can pick up a timetable. They have recently taken delivery of a new bus so if you weren't comfortable for whatever reason on the old bus, why not try out the new one, you might be pleasantly surprised!

Details of the freighter dates: (Mobile Civic Refuse Collection!) have been released and details can be found on the Parish’s website (www.slaughampc.co.uk) or on the notice board outside the Spar Shop, the first being on Saturday 23 April when it will be in the church car park in Slaugham between 10 and 11 am before moving on to the Seaforth Hall car park in Warninglid where it will be from 11.10 am until 12 noon. This is a service that is paid for by the Parish Council so we need to make sure it gets used or it will be withdrawn, as with a lot of services these days! If you would like more information about what these freighters can take, get in touch with the Waste and Recycling team at Mid Sussex District Council on 01444 477440, email: [email protected].

Please don’t forget: that Slaugham Twinning Association are holding their Annual General Meeting this evening in the PAVILION and NOT the Parish Hall as mentioned in the Parish Magazine. The meeting is open to everyone, not just current members but potential members as well! The meeting will start at 7.30 pm and once the business has been concluded why not stay and enjoy some cheese and wine and discover more about the Association and what they have planned in the next couple of months.
