The Burgess Hill District Lions are holding a Car Boot Sale on Saturday 8th August, raising money for local projects, at South Downs Nurseries, Brighton Road from 9.00am to 1.00pm. Sunday 9th August is the Adastra Bowling Club Annual Fun Day at the rink in Adastra Park starting at 2.00 pm, once again kindly sponsored by Station Garage who provide prizes for the winning and runners up teams. This is a fun event open to members of the public to have a small taster of competition bowling in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. The Club will provide all the necessary equipment, all we ask is that participants wear flat soled shoes such as trainers. With the bar and the clubhouse being open all afternoon, refreshments will be available throughout the event. There will be a maximum of 12 teams and each team will require 4 people to play. However, if you don’t have a full team, we will be happy to arrange you into teams. The Royal British Legion Women’s Section will be meeting on Thursday 13th August at 3.00pm in the Royal British Legion Clubhouse, Woodlands Road. Today’s activity is a Beetle Drive.
