Your local District Councilors will be holding a surgery in the Parish Centre, Adastra Park today, Thursday, 17th December, from 2.00pm to 3.00pm. If you have any concerns on local issues, your District Councilors are ready to listen and offer assistance and advice. No appointments are necessary.
The Hassocks Village Market takes place a week earlier than usual this month on Saturday 19th December on National Tyres Forecourt, 9.00am – 1.00pm.
Nearly opposite the market, Hassocks United Reformed Church will be holding its usual Traidcraft Stall in the forecourt of the Church from 10:00am to 12:00noon. There are lots of delicious foods etc., at competitive prices - and profit goes back to the producers of the goods - giving the Third World a better chance to improve their own lives. Coffee is served in the foyer.
Don’t forget that Santa and his helpers will be spreading a little magic for local children in his grotto at South Downs Garden Centre courtesy of Burgess Hill District Lions Club. You can visit Santa on Saturday 19th December from 10.00am – 12.30pm and 1.30 – 4.00pm, Sunday 20th from 10.30am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 3.30pm, 21st, 22nd and 23rd from 10.00am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 4.00pm, and on Christmas Eve from 10.00am – 12.30pm when he’ll have to close to get ready for the busy evening ahead. The cost is £4.00 which includes a present, a chance to talk to Santa and an opportunity to take photos. All funds raised will support the Lions’ local projects.
