More than 20 pupils from Downlands Community School have been presented with their certificates.

The award winners included Sophie Allen, Kyle Barbour, Anna Bazeley, Robyn Brady, Ella Chapman, Isobel Cooper, Will Dawson, Susie Furner, Daisy Hearle, Bella Henderson, Ben Herbert, Jonny Hill, Jessie Humphreys, Joe Illingworth, Sophie Mann, Daniel Maynard, Meg Millar, Ben Bryse, Harry Robinson, Ellah Sasson, Edie Seth, Amy Talbot, Jess Taylor, Stephen Webb and Poppy Edwards.

Downlands Community School’s Duke of Edinburgh programme has seen an increasing number of students every year complete their Bronze award, who then go onto do their Silver award.

There are four sections to complete at the Bronze and Silver levels of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.

They involve helping the community and environment, becoming fitter, developing new skills, planning, training for and completing an expedition.
