The 20-year-old music student from the British and Irish Modern Music Instertute (BIMM) had previously made it through the battle rounds before getting kicked off the live show on Saturday.

Clara, who is half Spanish, stunned all four judges in her blind audition in January as she sang half of Latch by Disclosure in Spanish.

She later teamed up with American singer and producer Will.i.am.

However, Saturday saw her voted off the show just one round before the quarter-finals.

Clara took to Twitter to thank her supporters and vowed ‘This is just the start’ after she was voted out.

Having previously only performed at open mic nights and to small crowds, Clara said auditioning for The Voice was her biggest gig yet and said it has left her feeling ‘over the moon’.
