The Rugby World Cup reception, hosted by the Queen, was attended by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal and Prince Harry.

The invite list included all rugby teams who have reached the quarter finals of the Rugby World Cup, the England team, referees and other famous rugby faces.

Glen was nominated to attend this special event by the RFU for his work in Youth Rugby, particularly for the age 16 - 24 year retention project.

Glen met the Queen and had a ten minute discussion with the Princess Royal about Heath Rugby Club, Sussex Rugby and the issues associated with retaining young players in the game.

Speaking about the experience, Glen said: “I met so many rugby legends under one spectacular roof, in particular my own rugby heroes. This was truly a night I shall never forget.”
