Surrey Fire Service said no-one was in the ambulances at the time and no-one was injured.

This morning, a spokesman for the service said they are still investigating the cause of the fire.

Eyewitnesses said they heard several explosions during the fire which sounded like a ‘bomb’ was exploding

Michael Wilson, chief executive of the Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, said the hospital was fully operational and thanked the emergency services for their help.
