Since 1979 this has provided valuable information to the RSPB about bird numbers, both declines and successes. Last year half a million people took part, and so can you this year. Register to take part with the RSPB on line at www.rspb.org.uk or talk to The Pet Shop in the High Street, who is participating and also has plenty of products and tips available. Putting out food encourages birds into your garden, and helps them to survive, particularly in winter.
