She was in the area near Burgess Hill station when she was narrowly missed by the object. It happened at about 8.30m on Monday of last week, and, as far as it known, nobody was hurt.

Jennifer, of Inholmes Park Road, said : “The flying missile was half a brick. It came at such speed that it whistled past my left ear and caused me such a shock. It missed me, cars passing, babies in pushchairs, elderly people and the Estate Agents glass window.

“Did this brick just happen to come flying through the air without reason, caused by a person? Were there any witnesses that saw this at Burgess Hill railway station. I would be very interested to know.”

Jennifer says she also noticed glass at the railway station bus stop was broken and wondered if this might be connected.
