Memorial Exhibition: to showcase work of an abstract artist. This will be held on Saturday September 19th at the Stable at All Saints Church.The exhibition will showcase the remaining portfolio of Alex Wilson who died on April 19th 2015. He created a diverse portfolio of abstract works in acrylic, oil and pastel as well as sketches and collages. His diagnosis of dementia in 2008 affected his ability to hold a brush or pen and in many other ways.The exhibition will support and promote Dementia UK, a charity which funds the provision of Admiral Nurses to assist families affected by dementia.Viewers can buy the originals and order prints of popular pieces.The exhibition will be open from 10am-4pm.

Lindfield Arts Festival: On Saturday the19th September Cavan Wood will present Dietrich, exploring the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer the German theologian who was involved in the plot to kill Hitler,using his letters, poems and writings. Cavan will also present Betjeman,a lecture / poetry reading on the poet John Betjeman. The first event will be from 12noon-13.00 and the second from 11.00-12noon.Both at the Tiger Hall, Tiger Rooms. At the same venue on the same day Margaret Nicolle and Linda Grace from14.00-15.00 will present Journal from the Home Front, Helena Hall’s book about a woman living in the shadow of the 2nd World War. Again from 15.00-16.00 you are invited to meet the authors and find out more about Helena Hall.
