COUNTRY MARKET: Starting today until Christmas Eve the Lindfield Country Market will be extra special. Each week there will be a Christmas atmosphere and today there is a great welcome planned with free tea/coffee and biscuits. The stalls will be decorated and you can pre-order Christmas baking items until December 3. Collection on December 17 and 24. As usual there will be many craft items to buy as well as homemade cakes, savouries, jams, honey, eggs etc. There will also be potted bulbs on sale for those who are quick enough to get them! Do come along and enjoy this really friendly market. From 10am to 11am in the King Edward Hall.

CHRISTMAS FAIR: Lindfield Bonfire Society Christmas Gift and Craft Fair. King Edward Hall on Saturday November 21 from 10am to 3pm. The halls will be packed with a variety of stalls including confectionery and jewellery. Tea/coffee/cake will also be available. 50p entry. Do try and support this to help raise funds for next year.

FOLM SHOWING EVENING: Far from the Madding Crowd will be shown on Thursday November 26 in the King Edward Hall. Doors open at 7.30pm and the film begins at 7.45pm.Tickets are on sale at Tufnells.

TIGER ARTS presents A Christmas Gala performed by Opera Brava on Saturday December 5 at 7.30pm at All Saints Church. There will be Opera, Christmas Carols and audience participation with a finale of the Twelve Days of Christmas to get you in the mood. Tickets are £15 and concessions at £12 from the Church Office, The Tiger. 01444 482405.

CHRISTMAS PARTY on Saturday December 12 in the King Edward Hall from 7.30pm to midnight. There are still some tickets left at £25 each. There will be a glass of bubbly on arrival and a great fish and chip supper followed by a disco. All profits go to the Royal British Legion. Contact Sara at:

CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL NIGHT in Lindfield. On Tuesday December 8 the High Street will be closed to traffic in the evening from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. The festivities will begin around 6pm and finish by 9pm and Father Christmas is expected to arrive at the United Reform Church at 6pm. People who have previously had stalls should have been contacted by the Parish Office and you can contact said office if you would like to reserve a space for a stall. (Iain McLean on 01444 484115.) Stallholders will need to bring their own tables and chairs and perhaps some battery operated lighting for the stalls.
