CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL NIGHT in Lindfield. On Tuesday December 8 the High Street will be closed to traffic in the evening from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. The festivities will begin around 6pm and finish by 9pm and Father Christmas should arrive at the United Reformed Church at 6pm. Stallholders will need to bring their own tables and chairs and perhaps some battery operated lighting for your stalls as it can still be fairly dark in places in spite of the new lighting in the High Street.

TIGER ARTS PRESENTS: A Christmas Gala performed by Opera Brava on Saturday December 5 at 7.30pm at All Saints Church. There will be Opera Excerpts, Christmas Carols and audience participation with a finale of the Twelve Days of Christmas .Tickets cost £15 with concessions at £12 from the Church Office, the Tiger. 01444 482405.

DECEMBER LUNCHTIME CONCERT at the United Reformed Church on December 9 at 1pm.Performers nearer to home close the year. Oathall Community College Music Students will entertain you and demonstrate their musical talents. Lunches will be served in the Church Hall as usual from 12.15pm.At the end of the concert you are able to give donations towards expenses.

WORKSHOPS: A short series of workshops for adult beginners in West African Drumming is taking place at the King Edward Hall on the following dates: November 28, December 12 and January 9, all Saturdays, from 12.15pm to 1pm. You do not need experience, just enthusiasm. Djembe hand drums are used and the workshops are run by experienced teachers and performers. The cost is £7.50 per workshop and includes a drum to play. First workshop £5. This is a not-for-profit organisation teaching West African Drumming to adults. (Donations go to several West African charities).
