Lindfield Horticultural Society: King Edward Hall on Wednesday 11th May at 8pm. Ian Everest will give a talk: A Sussex Farm during the 1950s. He shares a year in the life of a down land farm recorded in colour on 16mm cine film. The film shows an age when over 20 men were employed on the 1,000 acre farm and 40 at harvest time. The film, narrated by the speaker, is preceded by an illustrated introductory talk. Members £1. Visitors £2. All welcome.

Plant sale: On Saturday 14th May at 10am in the King Edward Hall there will be a coffee morning and plant sale. LHS hopes you can join them. Entry £1. All welcome.

Lindfield Country Market: from 10-11.15am on Thursday 12th May in the King Edward Hall. Very good value for money and a large plant stall. Good place to meet a friend and have a natter over a cup of coffee.

Waste collection: Sunday 15th May from 10-noon. Tollgate carpark. Household and garden waste collection. Please do not leave rubbish in the absence of the freighters.

Lindfield Dramatic Club 80th Anniversary Exhibition: This is the oldest amateur theatrical group in Mid Sussex. There is no spring production this month. Instead there is an open day and exhibition on the afternoon of Saturday 28th May in the Jubilee Room, King Edward Hall. Do put this in your diary as it is a landmark occasion for the club.

Register now: for the Lindfield Village Run on Monday 30th June. ( Bank Holiday.) Cross country 5k and 10k run which starts and finishes at Hickmans Lane Playing Fields.(

Village Day: is on Saturday 4th June. More anon.
