Visiting engines will join locomotives from the railway's historic fleet to provide an intensive steam service throughout the weekend between Sheffield Park, Horsted Keynes, Kinscote and East Grinstead Station. Lindfield Afternoon WI: Tuesday 1st November from 2.15-4.15pm in the King Edward Hall 
The next Civic Amenity Collection: will be on Sunday 20th November from 10am-noon in the Tollgate Carpark. Only household and garden waste.

Bonfire News: Not long now and November 5th is a Saturday this year so there should be a large crowd-not all in the pub, please. The celebrations will start with a fancy dress competition at the King Edward Hall, followed by a torch light procession around Lindfield. On the Common the reading of the bonfire prayer and lighting of the bonfire will take place before ending the evening with the grand firework display. The street collection on the night is in aid of local children’s charities: Chestnut Tree House, Court Meadow RDA, Kangaroos and Orchard House. Please note: do not bring sparklers, fireworks or bangers into the village or on to the Common as it is dangerous and against the law. Do not bring pets on the evening. No drones are allowed. Please be considerate to local residents. Here is the Programme of events: 2pm. Guy Building Competition Judging-Lindfield Common. (free to enter.) 6.30pm. Fancy Dress Competition- King Edward Hall. (free to enter.) 7.30pm. Torchlight Procession-parade through the village. 8.15pm. Lighting of the Bonfire- on Lindfield Common. 8.30pm. Grand Firework Display-on Lindfield Common. 9.00pm. End of show. All timings are approximate and subject to weather conditions. More event details next week together with info about road closures.
