Lindfield afternoon WI. On Tuesday 3rd May there will be a talk for members in the King Edward Hall at 2.15pm.

Lindfield Horticultural Society: There will be a talk on 11th May at 8pm in the King Edward Hall by Ian Everest called “A Sussex Farm during the 1950s.” All welcome.

Country Market: on 5th May from 10-11.15am in the King Edward Hall. The plant stall is really big now and there are great bargains to be had. Come early to make sure you get what you want, not forgetting the lovely cakes etc.

The next film: to be shown at the King Edward Hall on the 19th May is “Bridge of Spies.” Tickets can be bought from Tufnells in the High Street for £6 to include refreshments. Doors open at 7.30pm and the film starts at 7.45pm.

Tiger Arts: On 11th May Juan Pablo Hinojoza will give a piano recital in the United Reformed Church at 1pm.His programme will include works by Bach, Scriabin and Albeniz. This will be his first concert in the village although he lodged in Lindfield for a while.

Heber Opera: presents The Pearl Fishers by Georges Bizet on Saturday 21st May in the King Edward Hall at 7.30pm. The opera will be sung in English and performed in the round. Tickets are £14 reserved and £12 unreserved. Tel: 01435 866737 or book online:ticketsource.co.uk/heberopera

World Coffees: Do you know where this is? A most interesting small business just off the High Street in Denmans Lane. The wonderful aroma is enough to draw you in. You are welcome to view the grinding process and find out about the different blends. It seems that we are no longer just a nation of tea drinkers with coffee becoming more and more popular. Properly brewed it is an excellent beverage. Go along and meet the owner who will make you most welcome.
