Lindfield will burst into life on May 30, when it is taken over by a Caribbean them annual village day.
More than 120 stalls, plus games, and food and drink tents will set up on the common to create an afternoon of family fun.
A Caribbean theme procession will make its way down Lindfield High Street between 12.15pm and 1.15pm, with the Euphoria Steel Band leading the way. Everyone is invited to join and take part in the fancy dress theme.
The competition categories will be; best float, best walking group and judges’ award for best carnival theme.
Those taking part will gather at Hickmans Lane Playing Fields at 12.15pm, for judging at 12.30pm and departure for Lindfield Common, via the High Street, at 12.45pm.
Children can take part in the pet competition. Register pets at The King Edward Hall main gazebo from midday.
Other activities will include; the firing of the anvil, zumba, adult tug of war, wheel barrow races, welly wanging, three-legged race, raffle and a final tug of war.
The NSPCC will hold a stall at the event and the charity has asked for anyone with miscellaneous goods contributions to call 01444 892692.
