London to Brighton Veteran Car Run: VIDEO - Chris Evans meets fans as his Children in Need vintage bus stops off in Crawley

Radio 2 breakfast show host and new Top Gear presenter Chris Evans stopped in Crawley during the the London to Brighton Veteran Car run today (Sunday).

Evans, who drove one of three vintage buses, along with The One Show’s Alex Jones, fellow Radio 2 presenter Ken Bruce and Strictly Come Dancing star Natalie Lowe, took time to meet and have photos taken with fans in Crawley.

The new Top Gear presenter told six-year-old Noah Dunford, from Broadfield, that he had a nice hat.

Passengers on the buses were the top bidders in an auction during last year’s Children in Need and was called 40 Go Bonkers to Brighton.

The top five bids won a place on the buses with the top Bidder and 19 of their pals will get their own bus for 20 people, with the next four top bidders sharing the next bus also for 20 people giving them 5 seats each.

The auction raised £349,628.

The buses stopped at the Gatwick Honda in Crawley town centre which had been transformed into into a pitstop courtesy of Harrods.
