Man seriously injured in Burgess Hill fight

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fight in Burgess Hill in the early hours of Saturday morning (January 31).

A fight broke out between two men between 3am and 3.30am in the Waitrose car park in Burgess Hill. One man, a 30-year-old from Haywards Heath, sustained a serious injury to his ear and hand.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “A 28-year-old man from Crawley has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and assault. He has been bailed until March 28 while investigations continue.”
