This is the first time in its 30 year history that such an amount has been achieved due to its stalwart supporters throughout Mid Sussex.

From a Golf Day at Mid Sussex Golf Club in June when £12,000 was raised to its annual dinner at Jeremys and various collections, donations ABN AMRO contributed £3,070 as Macmillan was its chosen charity for the 3rd quarter of 2015 and other fund raising events all contributed to a most successful year. The group are extremely grateful for its many ‘friends’ who not only donate their time collecting but also participate where possible in our various events.

The funds are directed not only to support the Macmillan nurses but also to the completion of the Macmillan Horizon Centre which is being built in Brighton. This centre will provide support to the 60,000 people in Sussex who are going through their cancer journey in many different ways and will be opened in the Spring.

The Horizon Centre is Macmillan first ‘stand alone’ unit in the UK and shows Macmillan’s commitment to Sussex-it will be a truly exceptional unit.

Obviously, we have a full programme for 2016 commencing with a Gala Dinner at the Talbot in Cuckfield on Feb 26th.
