A few reports of fallen trees and flood water on the roads are affecting commuters this morning (January 15).

There are reports of a fallen tree blocking the road between Lindfield and Horsted Keynes.

The A272 between Billingshurst and the Buck Barn crossroads because of a fallen tree and flooding. There is also water on the road at the A272 near the Warninglid junction near Cowfold. A tree has also fallen down on the A275 in South Chailey.

More rain is forecast for into lunchtime and this afternoon, with winds of up to 20mph.

The Met Office said this evening will be ‘rather cloudy at times with further showers, these perhaps heavy in places by morning with hail and the odd rumble of thunder, especially in the south, winds moderating overnight, minimum Temperature 2C’.
