An author of numerous national and local walking guides, has just published his new book.
David Bathurst, has released a new walking book for around Sussex walkers, titled ‘The Great Walks of Sussex’.
This is the definitive practical and armchair guide to the waymarked long-distance footpaths with more than 12 miles of their length within West and East Sussex.
The paths range from the gentle and undemanding Cuckoo Trail, Downs Link, Forest Way, Wey South Path and Royal Military Canal Path to the South Downs Way.
The Sussex section of the England Coast Path, and what is now the longest name path wholly within Sussex, the 204-mile Sussex Hospices Trail.
Other great walks featured in the book include the Sussex Border Path, 1066 Country Walk, Vanguard Way, Wealdway, Serpent Trail, New Lipchis Way, Monarch’s Way, Sussex Ouse Valley Way, High Weald Landscape Trail, West Sussex Literary Trail and the Greenwich Meridian Trail.
All of the 19 paths listed and described in this book pass through magnificent countryside and, together with described detours and variations.

All the profits from the sale of this book will be donated to Friends of Sussex Hospices.
