The Country Market will be open in the Village Hall on Friday morning from 10 to 11am, lots of interesting and tempting food goodies to purchase you can also enjoy some refreshments.

Newick Bowls Club have a very busy week ahead commencing on Saturday with a game against Peacehaven at Home, then on SUNDAY they will be playing away at Uckfield. ,both games will start at 2.30pm. The evening games this Tuesday are Mid- Sussex V Adastra away and John Spriggs V West Hoathly at 6pm start. On Wednesday they have a home fixture with Colemans Hatch, on Thursday they will travel to Hurstpierpoint these matches will also commence at 2.30pm . Fingers crossed that the good weather continues. Don’t forget the coffee morning in the club house Mables road from mid-day.

The Cricket fixture for this weekend are; 1st X1 will be playing at home against Plumpton & East Chiltington,, the 2ndX1 are playing away at Maresfield against the 1st X1, THE 3RD x1 are also playing way at against Uckfield Anderida 11, The 4th X1 will be playing at home on the Temple Grove ground this game will be against Newhaven 111, all of this matches will commence at 1.30pm. The Sunday friendly games will be against Dads V Lads this will start at 2pm. There is also a match on Tuesday 21st at home the vising team will be Checkendon, this will start at 2pm The Junior under 13’s will be playing Southwick away this games will commence at 6pm.

Services this weekend at St. Mary’s Church are 8am Holy Communion, followed by Holy Communion morning service at 10.30am

Newick WI meeting this month will take place on 23rd July their speaker is Irene Eltringham-Wilson, her talk entitled EXPECT the UNEXPECTED a B & B, there is never a dull moment for Irene and her husband running the B&B at Butlers Farmhouse, they also appeared in channel 4 programme “Four in a Bed” visitors are always welcome to join the WI for this very interesting talk, they will be meeting the Community Centre at 7.45pm for further details telephone 01 825 722 907.

NEWICK CINEMA’S next film on SUNDAY 26th is SECCOND BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL in the Village Hall doors open at 7pm film will commence at 7.30pm, licensed bar and refreshments, tickets are £6 on the door or you can email please try and see this film, if there are not sufficient people attending you could possible loss the cinema for good. USE IT OR LOSE IT.
