Newick Country Market will be open as usual on Friday morning in the Village Hall from 10 to 11 am, there is still a good selection of locally grown vegetables and flowers available plus homemade cakes and lovely savoury items, so why not get there nicer and early, to ensure you are not disappointed , when you have purchased all your goodies you can then enjoy a cuppa.

Bowls Club will be playing at home this Saturday the match is against he Isle of Thorns, this will commence at2.30pm,on Sunday there will be an Invitation triples match, I assume this will also commence at2.30pm. The Tuesday evening games are Mid-Sussex V Southwater at home and the away game is John Spriggs V Uckfield both of these games will commence at 6pm, the on Wednesday the home fixture is against Haywards Heath this should start at 2.30pm.

Cricket Club have a busy weekend ahead of them on Saturday the 1st X1 are playing away at Battle, whilst the 2nd X1 will be playing at home, the 3rd X1 will be playing on the Temple Gove ground this match will be against Burwash Weald, According to the fixture list ther is no game for the 4th team.. all the league games will start at 1.30pm. Sundays friendly game is against Eclipse this game will commence at 1.30pm. There will be a mid week fixture on Thursday 13th when Mid Sussex Cricket Club will come to .Newick

Sunday Services this weekend are 8am Holy Communion at 8am followed at 10.30am with Morning Prayer, everyone most welcome to these services.

Newick Afternoon Club will be meeting on Thursday 13th at 2.30pm in the Community Centre, the speaker this month is Andy Wilson his subject being “THE BUTTERFLIES OF SUSSEX, this no doubt will be a very interesting talk with lovely colourful pictures..
