Newick brain injury centre to hold free event for carers

The event is being held at Headway East Sussex from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Monday November 26.

All carers are invited to the event and not just those who care for someone with a brain injury.

Teresa Andrews, welfare benefits trainer from Hastings Advice and Representation Centre, will be providing information about Universal Credit, ESA and PIP at the event.

Trudy Mayes, counselling and carers services manager, said: “This event provides all carers with the opportunity to come along and learn more about these important topics from qualified experts. I look forward to welcoming everyone.”

There will also be a representative from Care for the Carers there. Refreshments will be provided.

Headway East Sussex offers rehabilitation and support services for people suffering from brain injuries.

Carers Rights Day is held every year by Carers UK with the aim of bringing organisations across the UK together to help carers in their community.
