Nominations open for Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service

Nominations are open for voluntary groups who make a difference in their community to win the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

The award can be given to groups of two, 20, or 200 or more, it is the highest honour any organisation can receive, equivalent to a group MBE.

Groups operating for at least three years are eligible, as are branches of a national charities.

The Lord-Lieutenants of East and West Sussex, together with the National QAVS chairman and the broadcaster and TV presenter Martyn Lewis will attend an afternoon tea and information session in Brighton on Tuesday July 15.

Also present will be past winners who will tell you about the impact the award has had on their organisation.
