Operation Radcott is an annual operation, which has previously enjoyed success in ensuring local crime and disruption are kept to a minimum. Members of the Beach Patrol, a group of young people, accompany officers over the summer advising people in the area on safety issues.

Mrs Bourne took the opportunity to present members of Rother Neighbourhood Watch with a cheque following their successful application to the Safer in Sussex Community Fund, which supports local projects that aim to tackle crime and improve community safety. The grant award will be used to support the groups’ engagement with residents around crime prevention.
