Can you help Buster and Milo?
RSPCA Sussex North branch helps ill and injured cats in Horsham, Haywards Heath and Crawley areas to access vital veterinary care to enable them to have happy and healthy lives.
These cats, who are unowned or unwanted, rely on the RSPCA to provide the funding for their veterinary care and then find them a forever home.
Here are two of the cats who urgently need our help at the moment.
Beautiful Buster came into RSPCA care with a cyst on his neck, which when examined by vet, James L’Amie, at Arthur Lodge Veterinary Surgery, Horsham, was found to be abnormal.
The cyst was removed and sent for analysis to check it was not cancerous; thankfully it was benign and Buster will shortly be available for rehoming.
This affectionate 12yearold is only able to be treated thanks to funding provided by RSPCA Sussex North branch, which is currently estimated to be costing £350.
Whilst Buster is recovering well from his operation, it is likely that further treatment will be needed and so the branch are appealing for donations to help Buster, and other cats like him, have a second chance at life.
Magnificent Milo has suffered blunt force trauma to his leg and pelvis which requires orthopaedic surgery to repair. This beautiful British shorthair cat will need to have two operations; one to fix his pelvis and one on his femur.
Milo will require six weeks strict rest following each operation. 3 year old Milo has a long road ahead of him to have a full and normal life but the veterinary team are confident the surgery will be a great success and enable Milo to have many years of happiness ahead of him
RSPCA Sussex North is funding the cost of Milo’s operations, which is estimated to be £750.
We rely on public donations to help Milo, and other cats like him, but sadly donations to the branch are falling.
We urgently need donations from the public so we never have to refuse to treat a cat like Milo.
n If you would like to help us save cats like Buster and Milo, donations to the branch can be made online at www.givey.com/RSPCASussex or cheques, made payable to RSPCA Sussex North branch, can be sent to the Branch Treasurer, Twineham Place Farm, Twineham Lane, Twineham, West Sussex RH17 5NP.
