Letter: Housebuilding more damaging than energey companies
As the Balcombe fracking protesters dig in for a long campaign, the developers are beginning their march northwards of Haywards Heath, systematically mopping up every green space they can identify for their housing proposals.
Perhaps it is worth pointing out that the permanent damage which the developers will do to the environment of Mid Sussex will hugely exceed anything that might conceivably be done by energy companies, working within the tight constraints of the authorities.
While not suggesting we should be pitching our tents on these targeted sites, maybe we should all be making a lot more noise about this furious and unwanted assault on our green spaces, which is only facilitated by the current planning void.
