The shape of Burgess Hill Martlets WI

This lively WI had their Christmas dinner in January and at their first meeting of 2014 on Tuesday (4th February), they had an entertaining talk from Sylvia Rattenbury of Colour Me Beautiful.

She explained the basic body shapes and how colours could not only flatter but also reflected your personality. The talk was extremely interesting and also provoked a good deal of discussion afterwards.

As this was the first full meeting of the year there was quite a bit to catch up on, including the trip to Brick Lane Music Hall in March for the St Patrick’s Day Show and an outing to the WI’s Denman College in June. Sue Moody, the current President, indicated that the committee were also looking to arrange a trip to London, possibly to visit the Cutty Sark Museum; a nature walk and cream tea at Heaven Farm in the spring; and a tour of the Royal Pavilion in December followed by lunch.
