Party in the Park, Pirates and Princesses and Manfreds kick off Burgess Hill Summer Festival

Burgess Hill’s summmer festival kicks off today for nine days of attractions and activities, most of them free.

This morning (Saturday) sees the start of the Pirates and Princesses Day in the Town centre from 10am to 4pm, with live music.

The first of the four Open Studios arts and crafts open-house sessions will be held, and in the afternoon five bands will play in Park in The Park.

Tonight the Manfreds, including members of the hit band Manfredd Mann, play at the Martlets Hall.

Tomorrow sees one of the biggest events, the popular Burgess Hill Bike Ride, which starts at 9am at oakmeeds Community College and will raise thousands of pounds for charity.
