Bodle Bros directors Michael and Julie Sandercock had previously been renting the land their business occupies. But Homes England acquired the land from their landlords as part of wider plans for the Northern Arc development.

A spokesman for Homes England said: “This means they can continue to provide a much-needed service to the community in and around Burgess Hill for generations to come.”

Bodle Bros managing director Michael Sandercock said: “Buying this land has meant we have safeguarded our business at our current location where we employ a local workforce.

“We have worked with Homes England to make this possible and I look forward to offering the same level of service to our loyal customers that we have always provided.”
