The award was given to Good Oaks Home Care Mid Sussex in recognition of their hard work and dedication during the past year.

The letter highlighted the work carers provide at the front of the fight against Covid-19, and recognised that carers had gone above and beyond for clients, by staying over their allotted hours to provide company to clients and find ways to keep their spirits up.

"Our team work very hard and we are very proud of them.

"We have done everything we can to keep our team and our clients safe, it was our job, even before Covid-19 and we take great pride in helping our community.”

There will be a virtual celebration held later this month for all the Covid Heroes and there will be special category winners announced on the night.
