The path north of the Burgess Hill Burial Ground up to Malthouse Lane is closed for improvement work over the next eight weeks.

A spokesman for Mid Sussex District Council said: “We recognise that the closure of paths with cause inconvenience and that this is disappointing in the short term, but it will be worth it, giving greatly improved and accessible pathways for the future such as recently completed work at West End Farm Recreation Ground and at Worlds End Recreation Ground.

“A number of paths are also due to reopen in the near future at the Green Circle on the section between Malthouse Lane and Gatehouse Lane, due by end of February, and at West Park Nature Reserve and Holmesdale Woods between Chanctonbury Road and Potters Lane, both due to complete mid-February.”
