A charity is expecting its second 10k fundraiser to be ‘even bigger and better’.
Children and young adults' charity Chailey Heritage Foundation has launched its 2019 Focus 10K Charity Run.
It will take place on Sunday, June 2 at Borde Hill Garden, in Haywards Heath, with a 10k, 5k and children’s mini mile on offer again.
For 2019, there will be a new course route for the longer distances and there will also be a team relay option for those wanting to compete together.
Development director at Chailey Heritage Sally-Anne Murray said they were 'thrilled' to see so many families taking part in the inaugural event.
Speaking of next year's fixture, she said: “We expect this year to be even bigger and better, and thanks to our headline sponsor Focus Group we can open the race to more participants than ever before.
“Events like the Focus 10K raise essential funds for the young people at Chailey Heritage Foundation and provide facilities that really helps them pursue their full potential.”
More than 600 participants took part in the event this year - some 100 children in the mini mile and close to 500 runners in the 5k and 10k - which was raising funds for the charity's £3.1million Dream centre appeal and which was hailed a success.
Chailey Heritage Foundation provides education, care and transition services for children and young adults aged three and upwards, specialising in working with children with complex neuro-disabilities and high health needs.
